Inspiration

I look for inspiration in my travels, films, nature and the diversity of people.

I gravitate towards those images, sounds, and scents that urge me to consider who I am and where I fit into the world.

The Metropolitan Museum of Art’s blockbuster "Heavenly Bodies... Fashion and the Catholic Imagination”

was a visual feast for all who delight in the melding of details, design, and art. Lavish materials, ornate embroidery, precision tailoring, a Fellini film, and music were juxtaposed with the medieval relics at both The Met and Cloisters.

While my aesthetic and designs are much more restrained,

this exhibit was a moving tribute to the international fashion designers who were, for the most part, raised in the Roman Catholic tradition, and who were boldly, and sometimes subtly, influenced by the church. The Met's Costume Institute always inspires and impresses.
